Among the bright lights of the entertainment capital of the world comes a celebration of artistic excellence that gives us one more reason to love Las Vegas.

The Smith Center is the visually stunning new home for the Nevada Ballet Theatre, Discovery Children's Museum, Las Vegas Philharmonic and numerous Broadway productions and other performances that will catapult our city onto the international performance stage.

Join the IABC/Las Vegas on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Maggiano's in the Fashion Show Mall and be among the first to hear about the ingenuity behind one of our most anticipated openings. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the plan for joint communications for the resident companies and the tremendous interest in ticket presales.

Bravo Smith Center!

Myron G. Martin, President and CEO
The Smith Center for the Performing Arts

Myron Martin has a rich history in the performing arts business. Martin spent 15 years with Baldwin where he managed the concert and artist division in New York City. Myron was responsible more than 300 artists and organizations including Billy Joel, Dave Brubeck, The Boston Symphony, and the Kennedy Center.

CityLife said "Martin continues to do wonders with the Performing Arts Center. In just a couple of years, he's turned a once ill-defined, unreliable program into a steady offering of professionalism. If anyone ever wonders if there's really any artistry in producing, tell them the story of Myron Martin. He gives the profession respect."

Myron is more enthused than ever about the cultural future of Las Vegas. The Smith Center will attract a broad cross-section of the Las Vegas valley. This cultural campus is much deserved and will enhance our quality of life.

Linda Quinn, JD, CPA, Chief Executive Officer
DISCOVERY Children’s Museum

In 2006, Lied Discovery Children's Museum in Downtown Las Vegas hired Linda Quinn as executive director. A veteran nonprofit leader with extensive experience in North Carolina and Alabama, Linda has developed a reputation as a fixer. In a few short years under her guidance, the children's museum has corrected its finances and fundraising methods, replaced two-thirds of all interactive exhibits, doubled attendance to 160,000 annual visitors, and set the course for the biggest development in the organization's 21-year history.

In Fall 2012, the new DISCOVERY Children's Museum at the Donald W. Reynolds Discovery Center in Symphony Park will make its debut, opening adjacent to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Thanks to Linda's leadership, along with the hard work of her staff and Board of Trustees, Las Vegas will have a brand new, world-class children's museum dedicated to creating exciting educational experiences for the children and families of the community.
